I provide tuition in piano and music theory to suit each individual’s needs. My teaching practice is tailored specifically towards beginners to intermediate players as well as re-starters and students of all ages are welcome. I firmly believe that my teaching methods must be matched to your style of learning. Therefore, my teaching style, curriculum, and approach is always flexible, varied, and individual.

As a guide, development is usually undertaken in the following areas:

• A wide variety of styles including: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20thC, Jazz and Pop
• Sight-Reading, Performance and Practical Musicianship skills
• Technique
• Scales, Broken Chords and Arpeggios
• Composition
• Aural Training
• All types of Theory (including an ABRSM Grade 5 specific course)
• Recording Techniques
• Music History, Form and Analysis
• GCSE/A Level coaching

Entry for graded exams are available with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Although other examining boards will be considered if deemed more appropriate to a student’s needs. If you prefer not to sit exams then alternative methods for progression can be tailored to suit your requirements. A clean disclosure certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB form) is available upon request. I also provide online lessons via Skype or other online messenger services.
